Coming into the studio today, Mayor Charles Starkovich, City Commissioner Chris Candelario, Bob Baudette, Kathy McQueary, Troy Sauble and Sandy Mantz. Conversations regarding City Commission and Raton Public Service Company were many... but information about all the events and goings on in our area were also pleantiful. We also said goodbye and bon voyage to Sherri who is moving on to Albuquerque and will no longer be heard regularly on KRTN's This, That & the Other show. Thursdays seem to bring out the best in folks! Several guests stopped in the studio to share their news and cast invitations to listeners to come on out for their events. Warren Walton is gathering in the graduates of Raton High School Classes of 81 - 84 for their reunion this Friday and Saturday. Stephanie Jansen had a great report on all the vendors of locally grown and/or made produce, foods, and more; Myra Baird brought in souveniers from the Raton High School FCCLA's trip to Florida for national convention and Elaine Portillos came in to promote Luna Community College's course offerings.

Pam Hronich and Melissa Longoria of New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Division - Child Protective Services visited with Billy D & Kristina about National Child Abuse Prevention Month and started the Blue Ribbons flying in the breeze to raise awareness in ongoing efforts to prevent child abuse.
